Wed, October 30, 2019
6:30 PM UTC

Ola, Lisboa! coding portugal, volume 3 is coming to your town on October 30th, 2019.

Our Agenda

6.30pm Doors open
7.00pm Introduction: coding portugal
7.10pm Talk #1: Mário Prada - Styling in React with Styled Components
Friends don't let friends code Spaghetti-CSS. Mário gives a painless introduction into styled components. Promise: once you got the advantages of CSS in JS, you'll never return.

7.45pm Talk #2: Bruno Macabeus - The day I reverse engineered a Gameboy Advance game Let’s learn how you can create your own ROM hacking for your favorite game. You will discover how the loved Gameboy Advance works, understand a crazy ARM assembly and reverse engineering stuff, in order to create a useful level editor that works in the browser using JS + React.

8.20pm Talk #3: Henrique Graca - End to end application development on AKS
By itself, Kubernetes is not necessarily a developer-friendly platform. Building, deploying, and testing microservice-oriented applications involves a lot of manual work and copious amounts of YAML. Thankfully, Azure has the tools you need and makes Kubernetes approachable and productive for developers. In this session, we’ll cover how you can use Azure Dev Spaces to develop and debug microservice applications that can run on the Azure Kubernetes Service.

To make coding portugal meetups a great experience we depend on you. If you'd like to host our meetups, or if you'd like to present a talk or consider contributing a hot topic for discussions, let us know first: we're open for any suggestions. Our goal is to connect developers, to share knowledge and to create an inspiring room for coders of all trades. We only have one rule: whatever you present, it must at least contain 1 line of code.

All contributions follow our golden "*1 line of code*" rule, so demos and live code will be abound. You don't have to register to get into our stream but if you do, we send you updates (and nothing else) like the final YouTube URL of the stream before the event.
